[Music] Thank you [Music] [Applause] Thank you Hi I'm Kirby Allison and I'm back inside The famous humidor at Davidoff of London With none other than Max foux for Another episode of the unusual and the Unpopular [Music] Max hey thank you so much thank you for Having me back and of course one of my First stops here whenever I'm in London Of course is Davidoff of London and of Course you and the entire staff here are Par excellence in terms of helping those In search of a great cigar find a great Cigar so I thought today's video and We'd see what you've been able to Wrestle out of the corners in this Installment of the unusual and unpopular Yes well it's proven very popular Kirby And that's all on all on your half there But um there's a couple things I'd like To show you today as you know I know You're a fan of the Slender gauge you Like Lorena the front door is you know As you know theater is getting a lot Thicker these days and far more Substantial than they once were I mean There there was a time where a sickler Four was a monster of a cigar now that's A that's a child cigar cigar for an

Infant almost Um but we're looking today or I'd like To show you today two things one is from The The amazing vintage cabinet here At Davidoff Where the bosses love to give some of Our customers the opportunity to buy Single vintage sticks Um all those these may not be of a Vintage standard just yet these are the Poor Lauren Yaga Monte Carlo but from 2007. oh wow so this is a deliciosos Size at 33 ring gauge look at that That's a proper thing there so even Smaller than the lancera which is a 38. Yeah exactly exactly it's not even Smaller than that Um a brilliant cigar the light to medium Body but quite a full flavor to it Um with the age on it they've kind of Softened they become a bit smoother than They were once originally but even the Uh the more youthful versions they've Got quite a kick to them they're quite Tart they're sharp there's a bit of Pepper in the last third that's why I Like them so much because there's such a Great deal going on in such a slim Profile which is very exciting and Increasingly incredibly elegant as well You know well and you don't find that 30 Or 32 too small well I'm on past Occasions have enjoyed the um Rafael

Gonzalez slenderella which if you'll Believe it is a 26 page yeah so that's Like I mean admittedly it was plugged And I I've got flavor out of it but no Smoke Um but this I think is a ring gauge that I feel comfortable holding it's a very Stylish cigar it's you know you'd see People in the 70s I mean Michael K and Roger Moore smoking cigars this kind of Format uh I think they're exceptionally Stylish people and I'd like to mimic Them to a degree but also enjoy enjoy The format you know Um a great cigar and something I'm sure Have you tried before well actually on Your suggestion the article you wrote Summarizing some of the best finds of What 20 21 yeah that was it yeah yeah Yeah yeah yeah that's your suggestion Actually went out and found a box or two Of these uh very sensible and I have to Say you know I must compliment your Palette I mean you really have a a Talent at kind of discovering uh dormant Cigars and one wouldn't necessarily ever Even think of smoking yeah that maybe With a little bit of time and age have Really just swung back to offer Something absolutely delightful to smoke Yeah I definitely agree with you uh Kirby and I do hope you enjoy the uh the Boxes that you've picked up becoming Incredibly well increasingly scarce

Difficult to get hold of Um uh even here at Davidoff we've got Limited Supply so this is why this 2007 Box is such a fine yeah Um but yeah you enjoy this don't share Them with anyone either keep it yourself Is that your suggestion in the last uh Installment of the unusual and unpopular That I got a box of the cubaba petite Yes the petty bouquet ah those are great They're so good oh boy Flavor Flavor Flavor so much flavor yeah yeah yeah It's such a small cigar it's beautiful You know I almost chain some of those Yeah yeah it's difficult it's quite Small exactly yeah and it's so enjoyable Yeah it's difficult not to Um I'm so glad you enjoyed it but I find That that particular cigar is really Good for if you finish your primary Cigar Maybe Yes yeah because uh sometimes you run The risk of smoking a smaller cigar and You've lost the flavor because you smoke The more substantial one beforehand Those are so flavorful you never run That risk you never run that race well This is exceptional this is I've never Seen this one before uh as I would Expect here in the Davidoff of London Humidor with you discovering uh new Cigars for the first time well we try Our best in the pool Monte Carlo is one You've got a you've got to watch out for

If we could just find my voice somewhere Yeah uh you've got to smoke some more Scarves that's the answer behind it Um one more I'd like to show you on this Kind of um so same ring gauge Um but a very different blend so this is The 33 room gauge that we spoke of Before Um something I love and something I Smoked I'm reminding myself of how much I loved is the kohiba exquisito a swine Air size so a 33 ring gauge uh I think We're looking about Uh about six inches long five and a bit Six inches Um but a very very good cigar and full Of flavor so it's from the linear Classica okay Um obviously Queen has been around since 1966 but was introduced to the public in 82 I think it was with three sizes well More sizes to follow but there was a League to number Wonderland Sarah the Current special and um the panatella and Then the exposito okay Um was there to follow a great cigar uh Full of flavor once again despite its Small size I would say is medium medium Full I mean maybe considered medium full Please please Um but a very very rich I mean you get Kind of um I suppose you can get dates From that a little bit of spiciness as Well definitely a sweetness running

Throughout the cigar and will last you a Significant amount of time despite its Size it's quite deceiving because they Tend to come quite well packed there is Resistance to the draw so sometimes a Little bit of work has to be done to Really enjoy it but a great cigar and Something often overlooked in the Cohiba Portfolio is this head roll yes it is Indeed yeah Um which sometimes leads to them being a Little a little on the tight side and You can find that with the Monte Carlo Sometimes a little tight you run that Risk with a slimmering game yeah Um but a proper cigar and something I Had on the way to the post office and Walked back with it and enjoyed it in The shop briefly uh it lasted me uh you Know a decent decent time and it's Enjoyed throughout which is great what I Find that I enjoy about these smaller Formats is that they're just great Smokes oh yeah and if you just want to Sneak a cigar in you know maybe you Don't have a proper 30 45 minutes or an Hour something like this can be Incredibly pleasureful while still not You know allocating too much time out of The schedule exactly exactly yeah I mean It's a it's a cigar that It's called yeah it's got so much flavor That you know sometimes like we were Talking about earlier you run the risk

Of smoking a smaller cigar lacking Lacking a bit but you don't get that With them the quabba that you enjoy the Divinos yes cosito a good all-rounder You know very good cigar so these are The max Falcon cigars De Jour yes yeah That's the one that's the one we like That and um you know once again Exquisitos Monte Carlo is not always the Easiest to find and becoming Increasingly difficult nowadays so if You do find them buy them we've still Got some here so it's important that They must be sampled before they all Leave us completely that's right Um but uh yeah great cigar and I'm very Happy to share that yeah thank you well I think it's one of the challenges with Uh with the Cuban cigars at the moment Is of course because of the last two Years you know havanos has had a little Bit of trouble with their production That they're increasingly in short Supply so perhaps your go-to three or Four formats you know you can't find Anymore and so I think it's kind of Requiring that one maybe a Veer a little Bit outside their Lane maybe be a little Bit more adventurous and experimental Yeah on cigars I would have they would Otherwise not smoke and I think these Two examples today couldn't be better Examples of just absolutely exceptional Cigars I haven't smoked this one but I
