SELLING MY ROLLS ROYCE FOR A G-WAGON?!

His car looks so little in front of this What was that oh the door's locking Everything's very Like um industrial Today we are going to do something that I consider a lot of fun I am strongly considering buying the new G wagon Adam every time i mention this freaks Out says you don't want one of those It's a piece of crap blah blah blah blah I think they're fantastic So today we are at p zero world with our Great friend claus There he is over there just happens to Have A tricked out g-wagon and claus tell us A little bit about this because i'm Gonna get to drive it And uh i'll put adam to shame i'm Actually going to think you like it Because this is not like the old shoe Wagons used to drive You used to range rovers this is Actually a much more comfortable car to Drive to begin with but I couldn't leave it stuck and i've been Importing lawrence Since 1990 and i'm reintroducing them Now and that is a Lawrence g-wagon so what have you done To it what what's all the tricks on this Car Well we added a hood scoop

From lawrence we added the front spoiler As you can see i got rid of that Ugly brush bar or whatever you call it The cow bar because it makes it look Much more european Um and sleeker looking i added a Roof spoiler which is quite nice you Know a little touch like that And a lorenzo exhaust which Is awesome tell your guys It's a workshop it's fine it's fine It's a workshop we can still hang it Yeah it's all good look i put This huge lorenzo uh car car On it spare car cover so people know What's coming because so normally it Says mercedes-benz Bandsaw but now of course you know these Are my routes that that's what brought Me to america as a matter of fact Lorenzo is the company that brought me Here do you remember i was i believe one Of your very first Customers i had an sl55 and we Completely tricked it out with lorenzo Stuff do you remember that yellow That was in 94 or 95 or something like That it was a yellow sl-25 Yeah so you had yellow leather and here That amt made for you correct i Put lawrence and wilson at the exhaust i Remember that yeah marines have wanted Me to put 23s on there they have a nice 23 inch set of wheels but

Pirelli doesn't make a 23-inch tire and Since i'm affiliated with pirelli P0 world cec wheels i opted for my own 24 inch wheels with a brand new p0 tire That they made just for this car 295 35 24 perfect smooth sleek tire Forged in germany it said everything Including me this track is made in Austria Is it really it's actually made at Pookie in austria yeah i didn't know That yep yep So the inside of it is completely stock Stock everything stock carbon fiber red And black seeds I think you really enjoy driving this i Think I i'm not going to say anything because I feel like i don't want to spoil your Experience This is all i will do how much is this Car class uh sticker is 185 000 but with The package and everything is about 240. I wouldn't say it drives like a range Rover but it's a lot better than the Predecessor It's smooth it's really powerful the Screen went off on the right when i was Driving it for about five minutes and i Was hitting every button in the world to Try and get it back on And it wouldn't come on but then i Figured out what i did i Powered it down on the volume switch so The if you press and hold the volume Switch It lights back up again and everything Works i still couldn't figure anything Out It has active seats which when you go Around a corner One side blows up and then it's it's Really Kind of cool i like it i know you hate It right how does it How is it to follow like i said if it Was painted red you'd look like postman Pat So i feel like did it close exactly Press the button there you go Makes me want to vomit every time i hear That does it really yeah So i can imagine it's cool i mean it's Cool No it's not cool he's shaking his head It's not cool not for me Not for me but okay so the point is

You're looking to replace the rolls Royce Yeah are you really gonna replace the Rolls royce maybe it should be in Addition to the rolls royce It's different you can't you can't Compare this with a rolls royce it's Rugged it's tough it's fun You sit really high you know when you Sit in the range rover it's high this Appears higher that feels higher Although i don't think it is You've got the range rover which does Everything that this does Better for less it just looks cool i can Absolutely Agree to disagree on looks because looks Are subjective right yeah But i'm just saying that if you're going To spend a quarter of a million dollars On a car For how it looks there's a lot of hype To it right There's a lot of hype Is it the best car i've ever driven in My life far from it Is it good it's different It's not it's not like wow i really Enjoyed that drive if i was to drive This From la to vegas i think i'd regret it i I don't think it's it's not like a range Rover range rover's just Bliss and luxury this is fun

For short distances i think and you know You can pull up some work and you look Cool Range rover looks cool too though right Or not i i mean i would give you more Respect getting out of a range rather Than out of this Because of its modifications no no just A g-wagon in general i think unless it's One of the First-gen like military g-wagons which Do what they were meant to do I just feel like for example i love Klaus's wheels But to put 24-inch wheels onto a g-wagon Is like taking uh i don't know like Taking a formula one car And putting mud tires on it it defeats The purpose so what's the Regular size that comes on one of these Guys not a clue i'm going to guess Somewhere in the region of 20. These are 24. yeah or maybe 22. it does Ride Smoothly oh i'm sure i love the fact That klaus has put a big chunky tire Because that that's the problem is when People put these huge wheels on They run a little tiny rubber band tire And it feels terrible But klaus knows what he's doing i think It looks like These wheels if they didn't have the cc Center caps i wouldn't know that they

Weren't Mercedes factory wheels they look that Good On the car so i have a question to ask You you've been following me now for About 20 miles How does it sound silent what do you Mean silent i can't hear it i have it In loud mode i know i i don't know Start it up i keep forgetting you have To press the button So that's the thing is normally these G-wagons they sound pretty good Okay so this button here this button Here is the Loud exhaust mode Not loud But he does have an aftermarket exhaust On here so i wonder if There's no valves anymore no there is he Told me to press it Uh he actually called me specifically to Tell me press this button so Look it did something here dynamic Select Let's switch that off comfort select So look exhaust is balanced press it Again Powerful There you have it it's now in powerful Mode nice but isn't this pretty I i mean mercedes know how to make well Mercedes know how to make an interior When they're not trying to fit it into

River but it does Feel a thousand times better than the Previous G wagons i had a g55 Back in the day it was a long time ago And it was horrible I mean it was really horrible but i did Like the look of it this one Is far more refined and it has Certainly uh got some comfort features That Are typical mercedes and they're very Well executed I could live with one of these i think But i don't think it would be a Replacement for the roles i think it Would be In addition to the rolls or a car like A rolls but yeah i mean it's great i'm Enjoying this drive I hope you are too um i'm not going to Go through any more of the The buttons on this road because i think A i've gone through them all This stuff over here i have no idea how To operate it um i was playing with it Earlier i just can't Find out how to do it uh maybe i'll have Another go when we stop And other than that yeah let's just go For a drive let's enjoy The scenery [Music] I'm
